The Way Back’s Mission: A “Woman at the Well” Encounter

When I started The Way Back to Ourselves in August of last year, I had a vision for a NEW kind of community—a place full of believers and seekers who were yearning for more and looking to find themselves and their faith again in a world that has forgotten how—a place to help us become more whole, so we could love, lead, and live better for our families and communities.

Simply put, I was looking for HOME in all the noise. And I had a suspicion YOU were, too.

When we look around at the division and spiritual deadness in our modern culture, it’s easy to become pessimistic. Violence and suicide rates are skyrocketing. Families are falling apart. But our pessimism, infighting, and further retreats inward won’t save us.

Faith, brotherly love, forgiveness, and unity are the answers. And GOD is the great uniter that can bring us all together. He is MORE—more than politics, more than tribalism, more than labels and identities. More than our brokenness and painful pasts.

We are talking about a “WOMAN AT THE WELL” ENCOUNTER for all of us. We are talking about being SEEN and LOVED. We are talking GRACE and TRUTH in abundance for each of us.

That’s what this beautiful faith offers us: beauty for ashes, a spring of living water that never runs dry, and a home for our weary souls. Here, at The Way Back to Ourselves, it is our mission to manifest this WOMAN AT THE WELL spirit. So, please, if you are hurting, limping, doubting, searching, PULL UP A CHAIR. Because you belong here… and because exciting things are happening!
