She Comes with New Blessings by Wendi Coats

Inspiration and Method

I used oil pastels on paper for this particular piece.

My inspiration was, of course, Renaissance-rebirth.  I used an art nouveau/Gustave Klimt style woman and researched flowers that represented rebirth, deciding to use daffodils and daisies.

WENDI COATS

Wendi Coats is a Christ-follower, wife, mom, art and history educator, and Jill-of-all-arts. She mostly loves to draw, paint, and do mixed media, but she will try anything at least once.

She is currently in her eighth year of teaching a variety of subjects, but mostly World History and Art. Wendi is also starting to explore artistic outlets outside of teaching.
