TERRA VIVENTIUM

Tectonic collision—earthen rug

snatched from beneath, shaking

once steadied, firm ground:

fissures,

     fractures,

          eruption

of all formerly known,

rendering a new scape of land—

          summit and swale,

          mount and moor;

weep,

     wail,

          walk on

winding road, these ancient magmatic rivers,

veining life between canyons—

yesterday's grief,

tomorrow's resurrected morn.

One breath, one step,

up, over,

again, once more.

Where you live, I live.

Where you go, I go.
